Cult of Paint is a group of passionate painters who want to support and drive forward the miniature painting hobby, through in-person classes, private tuition, online tuition, painting competitions, collaborations with industry leaders and much more.

MPO: Online and MPO: BRISTOL are ways for us to bring all of this together and host events that truly celebrate our amazing hobby.

The MPO was created during the strange times of 2020. We missed getting together as a painting community, looking at beautifully painted models and talking all things miniature art.

So we decided to host an online competition that we hoped would bring together hobbyists from all over the world in an event where they could share all the wonderful pieces they’d been working on that year.

We had yet to learn how popular it would be. With over 2,000 entries it seemed there was an appetite for this sort of thing!

Fast forward to 2023 and we return with the first of a regular, annual online painting competition ahead of an in-person event for 2024. Another chance to show the world what you’ve been creating. 

Multiple categories and two “levels” of judging criteria should mean there’s something for everyone.
